02The service

Klakso estimates landed cost, registration tax, known faults, resale value and a negotiation position for cross-border vehicle deals. Estimates are decision support, not a valuation, an inspection or tax advice.

Source data comes from public listings, published tax schedules and third-party datasets, which can be incomplete or out of date. Verify anything that materially affects a purchase. On a car where the registration malus is decisive, check the official barème before you commit, and have the vehicle inspected before you buy.

The extension runs on mobile.de and AutoScout24 in Germany, and on leboncoin, La Centrale and AutoScout24 in France. Germany to France is the modelled corridor today.

03Accounts

The local calculation — tax, VAT regime, margin, checklists — works without an account. An account is required for the metered and hosted features, because they cost us money per call and have to be counted against somebody. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address; there is no password.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for activity under your credentials. One account is for one person or one business; Trade seats are per named team member. Your sign-in details, and the pairing that links an installation to your account, are credentials — sharing them across a dealership, reselling access or publishing them is a breach of these terms and we will revoke the access concerned.

04Plans, metering and billing

Deal analysis is unlimited on every plan, free included. Only AI analyses and VIN lookups are metered, because they are the only two things that cost us money every time they run.

Monthly allowances are: Free none of either; Starter 100 AI analyses and 10 VIN lookups; Pro 400 and 50; Trade 1,500 and 400. Prices are €0, €7, €15 and €39 a month, or €0, €70, €150 and €390 a year.

Enterprise is sold by agreement rather than self-service: it carries Trade's features with a higher allowance, seats for a named team and priority support, and its price, term and any service commitment are set in a written contract. Where that contract and these terms conflict, the contract wins.

The free plan covers the whole local calculation — landed cost, registration tax, VAT regime, margin, comparables and 10 saved deals — and none of the hosted services. AI analyses, VIN lookups, l'argus valuations and the German market comparison begin at Starter; the repair cost breakdown, CT forecast and known-issue database updates at Pro; live parts prices and CSV export at Trade.

Quotas reset on the 1st of each calendar month, UTC — not on the anniversary of your subscription. If you subscribe mid-month you get that month's full allowance, and a fresh one on the 1st. Unused quota does not carry over.

The AI second opinion runs on Claude Haiku 4.5 through our own proxy. There is no bring-your-own-key option and no model picker; the tokens are on our bill, which is why the analyses are counted.

Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Yearly billing is charged as a single amount for twelve months. Prices exclude VAT, added at checkout at your local rate.

Top-up packs — 50 analyses for €4.99, 150 for €9.99, 500 for €24.99 — are one-off purchases, are consumed only after your monthly quota is exhausted, and never expire.

We may change prices or allowances. If a change makes your plan worse we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect and you may cancel before then. Changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

05Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period and we do not pro-rate partial months.

If a paid plan is not what you expected, write within 30 days of the charge and we will refund it in full. Unused top-up credits are refundable within 30 days of purchase; credits already spent are not.

If you are a consumer in the EU you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract. Because the service is supplied immediately, you consent to that immediate supply when you subscribe and acknowledge the automatic right lapses once it has been fully performed. Our 30-day policy above is more generous and is the one we will apply.

06Acceptable use

Do not resell or redistribute the output as a bulk data feed, scrape the service, circumvent quotas or the licence check, automate the extension at a scale a person could not work at, or use Klakso to breach a marketplace's own terms or applicable law.

We may suspend or revoke an account that does these things. Where a suspension is a judgement call rather than obvious abuse, we will tell you why and give you a chance to answer.

07Third-party services

Klakso reads listing pages we do not own and calls services we do not control: Anthropic for the AI second opinion, a VIN decoding provider, l'argus, and parts retailers. We are not affiliated with any listing site, manufacturer or valuation service. If one of them changes, breaks or withdraws, the affected feature may stop working; that is not a defect in the rest of the product.

08Availability

We do not promise uptime. The local calculation keeps working when our servers do not; the hosted features do not. If a paid hosted feature is unavailable for a sustained period, write to us and we will credit the affected time.

09Intellectual property

Klakso and its databases remain ours. You keep whatever rights you hold in the listings and notes you bring, and you may use the analyses we generate for your own commercial vehicle trading.

10Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for purchase decisions, repair costs, taxes assessed differently from our estimate, or resale outcomes.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer, which these terms do not affect.

11Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes are announced before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. These terms are governed by French law, with the courts of Paris competent, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
