Cookie Policy
Last updated 5 August 2026
Klakso sets no cookies. Not on this site, not in the extension, not for analytics. There is no consent banner here because there is nothing to consent to — this page explains what we use instead.
02What we use instead: local storage
Local storage is not a cookie — it is never attached to a network request, so it cannot follow you between sites. It stays on your machine until you clear it.
On this site: a single key holding your light or dark theme choice, so the page remembers which you picked. On the staff dashboard at /admin only: the API address and the licence key an administrator pasted in, so staff do not re-enter a credential on every page load. The server re-checks the role on every request regardless.
03Storage in the extension
Your settings, interface language, watchlist, saved deals, harvested comparables and the token that pairs the installation to your account are held in Chrome's own extension storage, local to your browser profile. It is not a cookie and it is not transmitted to us. Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.
04Do we need your consent?
EU ePrivacy rules require consent for storing information on your device unless it is strictly necessary for the service you asked for. Remembering the theme you just chose, and holding a credential a staff member deliberately entered, are both strictly necessary, and neither profiles anyone. There is nothing here to opt out of.
05Managing your choices
Clearing site data for klakso.com removes the theme preference; the site keeps working and simply forgets it. Clearing extension storage also deletes locally saved deals and comparables, and that cannot be undone.
If we ever add analytics or anything that sets a cookie, this page will be updated first and a consent banner will appear before the tool loads, not after.
