Klakso is built so that the analysis of a listing happens in your browser. This page explains what stays local, what is sent to a service, and what control you have over both. It is written to match the code — if you find a difference between this page and what the extension does, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.

01What stays in your browser

Deal analysis, registration-tax computation, comparables collected from listings you browse, checklists, saved deals and your interface settings are computed and stored locally in your browser profile. We do not receive a copy of them.

We never collect your browsing history, the pages you visit outside the supported listing sites, your location or anything from other tabs. The extension does not hold the tabs permission, so it cannot read them even in principle.

Clearing the extension storage or your browser profile permanently deletes this data. We cannot restore it.

02What we process on our servers

Account data: email address, plan, billing status, one-time sign-in codes, unspent top-up credits, and usage counters for metered features (AI analyses and VIN decodes).

Optional services you explicitly trigger: VIN decoding, live parts pricing and AI second opinions. The request payload for those calls contains vehicle attributes and, for AI analyses, the listing text you chose to analyse.

A random install id per installation, so seat limits work without identifying anyone. It says nothing about you, your machine or your browser.

Basic technical logs (timestamp, coarse region, error codes) needed to run and secure the service.

We set no cookies — see the cookie policy for what is stored in your browser instead.

03The shared lookup pool

Some answers are the same for everybody: what a given model is currently valued at, what a particular part costs. When your browser looks one of those up, the result is cached on our server and served to the next person who asks for the same thing. It is what keeps the product fast and cheap, and it means one person's lookup is not repeated by the next fifty.

What goes in: a key describing the kind of car or part, and the answer — currently valuations and parts prices only. What never goes in: the advert you were reading, its URL, its asking price, its VIN, the seller, the seller's text, or your own figures. The entry is filed against a vehicle or part shape, never against a listing and never against a person.

Contributions are attributed to your licence id, or to an anonymous device label if you have no licence. That exists so one contributor cannot outvote everyone else by submitting repeatedly, not to identify you. We do not build a history of what you personally looked up, and the pool is read without recording who is asking.

04Why we process it

To provide the features you request, to meter plan limits, to take payment, to prevent abuse, and to fix faults. Our legal bases are contract performance and our legitimate interest in a secure, working product.

05Sharing and subprocessors

We use a small number of processors: cloud hosting and database, Stripe for payment, transactional email, a VIN decoding provider, and Anthropic as the AI model provider for second opinions. They act on our instructions only.

The listing text sent for an AI analysis is passed to the model and discarded. We do not store it, log it or train on it, and our server keeps only a count of how many analyses you ran. Anthropic handles the text under its own terms.

We never see your card: Stripe holds your billing details under its own policy and we receive a customer id, a subscription status and an email address.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use your listing content to train models.

06Retention

Account records are kept while your account is active and for the period required for accounting. Usage counters reset each billing cycle. Request logs for optional services are kept for a short operational window and then deleted.

07Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing, and you can lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Deleting your account removes server-side account data.
